It’s time for day 20 of Blogvent, where I blog daily in December!

I feel like everyone I talk to is wildly busy at work this month compared to every other year before this. Even at my own job, we not only did a mega launch of making GitHub Copilot Free, but we also added the new o1 model to Copilot, and those launches were all planned this month. Why? Why??

I don’t know what it is about this year, but everyone I talk to is just swamped at work. Deadlines, quotas, last hurrahs, I don’t know what, but Decembers are supposed to be for saying, “let’s circle back after the holidays” and chilling with an inbox getting smaller and smaller.

Anyway, I don’t have much of a point to this, but if everyone who read this would just collectively shout “calm down” outside their windows tonight, I’d appreciate it.
