It’s Blogvent, day 6, where I blog daily in December!

One of my favorite questions to ask people is a very “church kid vibe” question, but is always a really fun one to get answer for:

If Jesus’s body and blood were bread and wine, what are yours?

Some people go deep and think hard on it, and some know the answer right away. I knew right away that my answer was lasagna and a root beer float. My husband Joe’s is fried chicken and boba. One of my friend’s is sushi and beer. Another friend’s is fried plantains and Pepsi. Another’s is a Costco rotisserie chicken and a Manhattan cocktail.

It’s SO fun to hear responses. Because it’s not necessarily a question of what your favorite food and drink are, but more like… what represents you. I feel like getting one of those answers helps me know a person better, and I love when they explain why they picked their choices, too.

Today’s my 34th birthday, and Joe invited a bunch of friends over for a surprise lasagna and root beer float party! I felt so known and loved, and very well-represented.
